A SMALL GIFT AFTER THE EXTREME MONSOON RAINS

• SEP 2024 • The severe weather ravaging Nepal has claimed the lives of more than 200 people. At least about 30 people are still missing. Thousands of houses have been destroyed and infrastructure across the country has been paralysed due to flooded roads and landslides. Many people being searched for travelled by bus, due to the big Dashain festival there was extra traffic on the roads. The central and eastern parts of the country were particularly affected by extreme monsoon rains. People who lived along the Bagmati river in Kathmandu had to flee their homes in a hurry and had no time to take possessions, savings or clothes with them.

Dashain festival is just around the corner but they have nothing to buy gifts, medicine or goodies for the family. Together with Karma, we decided to make a gesture to 12 families so that they can still participate in the festival to some extent
